🔥 Improved usability of the chord section!

Just in time for Christmas 2019 we have some exiting news to share!

Usability improvments have been made to the chord section:

  • The chord charts are now responsive, i.e the chord diagrams flow with the page when it is resized. This new feature will also improve the user experience on mobile.

  • The chord diagrams are scalable. This means that when you zoom in a chord you want a better view of, the quality of the image will not degrade.

  • Last but not least, the most useful new feature is that it’s now possible to click a chord symbol in the lyrics and show the corresponding chord diagram in a popover.

This is especially useful on devices with small screens, i.e mobiles, because the user (you) no longer need to scroll up to the chord chart to recall the fingering of a chord. Just click it and it will be revealed – it’s almost like magic! 😇

Enjoy!

Recap

  • Click on a chord symbol in the lyrics to show the chord diagram of the chord in a popover. Click anywhere, except on the chord symbol, to hide the popover. Or just click another chord symbol to hide the current and display the new one.
  • Desktop: Use <Tab>/<Shift><Tab> to move back and forth between the chords in the lyrics.
  • Zoom in to magnify a chord diagram. Especially useful on small screens, i.e mobile devices, when learning a new chord.

Merry Chording Christmas! 🎅
